Housesitting Services Pty Ltd started off as a Real Estate office in the 1980’s (McKenna Realty). In October 2002 we extended our Property Management Department to include  House Sitting when we became aware that a person to person service was very much needed. We were quite amazed at the immediate demand we had from Home Owners everywhere, concerned about HOME SECURITY  and PET CARE when they were going on their holidays and business trips.

 

Very soon after commencement it became very clear that to make it work we needed to put all our time into Housesitting rather than the other areas of Real Estate. Before long we had many happy clients who realised after arriving home and finding everything  (including their pets) as good as when they left, that this could now be a new way of life for them. They could now go on all the holidays they wanted for as long as they wanted with total peace of mind. Many of our clients have used our service now several times.  We are now in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and in the process of establishing offices in all capital cities of Australia.

HOUSESITTING SERVICE PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND FOR HOLIDAY MAKER

 

No longer do you need to take chances when you go on holiday asking your next door neighbour to keep their eye on your place, or asking a family member, (even though you know they are too busy to look after  it the way it is normally looked after)or even worse ask a friend of a friend.  You certainly no longer need to pluck the name of someone you don’t know  out of a directory and hope that they will do.

 

Housesitting Services offers you a service which provides a complete package of services to you, the Home Owner, when you are away from home on holiday or need to be away from your property for any lengthy period of time. The service is aimed at professionally managing your property when you are away from home on holiday or a business trip. The service, allows you, the Homeowner to go away knowing that everything at home is being taken care of while you are enjoying yourself.

 

Our Housesitters, a very responsible group of citizens, are screened very carefully prior to acceptance. They are responsible for the upkeep of your home and garden and Pets and will look after them in the manner to which you are accustomed.

If you have no experience in Property management and securing the very best tenants in a rental property, then may we suggest that you leave the choosing of Housesitters to someone who has. Both situations are similar. Don’t rely on seeing a name on a list of Housesitters, or answering a newspaper ad unless you know that they have been screened absolutely thoroughly. The risk is too high.

 

A very special consideration is given to the care of your Pets. Before you leave , an appointment will be set up beween yourself, your pets and your housesitter, to make sure that your pets and the housesitter(s) will bond. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know the Housesitter a little before you go, so that you don’t feel that you have a stranger in the house.

 

As well as providing a detailed list of your pets likes and dislikes and both good and naughty habits, we ask that the homeowners also lodge a list of specific tasks for the Housesitter, which can include answering the phone to explain your absence, forwarding mail, watering the garden, cleaning of pools and spas, and any other duties that may be required.

 

If you are away for a long period, Housesitting Services do an Inspection of your property every eight weeks in the same manner that we would do if it were a Rental Property. If you have an email address, we are happy to take digital photos of the house, pets and garden and send them to you, so that you can be re-assured everything is well at home.
