WHEN YOU’RE IN HOSPITAL - HOUSE SITTING SERVICES PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND and HELPS KEEP THE BURGLARS AWAY WHILE YOUR PETS ARE BEING LOOKED AFTER.

Having to spend time in hospital can be a daunting experience at the best of times. When you find yourself in a situation  that means a long term stay and you have pets at home who are relying on your loving care and attention it can certainly add to your problems.  However, we think we may have the perfect answer to your problem.

Two years ago we started our House-sitting Service for Homeowners going on holidays who were concerned about leaving their home empty and also extremely concerned about what to do with their “family”  pets while they were gone.

We now have many happy clients who have used our service not just once, but on several different occasions. They have come back home to find that the housesitter who  stayed in their home for the entire time they were away have left it as neat and clean as it was when they left, and that their pets, although happy to see mum or dad again, were fine.

The service we offer although originally aimed at those going on holidays,  can also be used when you have a long stay in hospital and no-one left at home to look after the pets and the garden. It means that while you are laying in hospital being taken care of -  everything at home is also  being taken care of.

Our House sitters, a group of very responsible citizens, are screened very carefully, including a police check, reference check and personal interview,  prior to acceptance. All are non smokers. They are responsible for the upkeep of your home and garden and will look after them in the manner to which you are accustomed.

Special consideration is given to the care of pets (if you have any). Before you leave for hospital , an appointment will be set up between yourself, your pets and your House sitter to make sure that your pets and the house sitter will bond. It also gives you an opportunity to get to know the house sitter a little before you go, so  that you don’t feel that you have a stranger in the house. If you don’t feel instantly comfortable with the housesitter (s)  we choose (based on your needs) it is simply a matter of sending another choice until you  have 100% peace of mind. If you are already in hospital and need our service, we will come to you. We are more than happy to bring the housesitter(s) to your bedside to meet with you if it is convenient to do so, or we can arrange with a member of your family or a close friend to meet with us at your home and show us through and tell us what you expect of us, especially where the pets are concerned.  If this happens , we will arrange for the housesitter to come into the hospital to meet with you. You can then get to know them a little, and not feel as though you have a stranger living in your home.

As well as providing a detailed list of your pets likes and dislikes and both good and naughty habits, we normally ask that the  home owners also lodge a list of specific tasks for the House sitter;  which can include answering the telephone to explain your absence, forwarding mail, taking care of  the garden and back yard , cleaning of pools and spas, and other duties that may be required. If this task is too much for you to handle under the circumstances, perhaps someone close to you might be able to help. If that’s too difficult I am sure we can work it out together. Our staff are chosen specifically because of their understanding of peoples needs.

If you are away for a long period House-sitting Services do an Inspection of your Property every eight weeks in the same manner that we would do if it were a Rental Property. Either your housesitter or us will make contact either by phone of letter once a week, just to let you know how things are at home.

Our fee for this service is just $340 to you for any period of time over 2 weeks.
The service is made possible so cheaply  because our House-sitters, whilst they do not pay rent  to stay in your home, pay us  a fee to help  cover the costs. They also pay  you for electricity ,gas and phone calls they make while in your home. Please note; there is also a fee of $80 to cover extra expenses if  you live  outside our designated area. (see maps)

We understand that your departure from hospital can be very sudden. You may spend some time there and all of a sudden you are being told that you may leave for home  the next day. When our housesitters take on the task of looking after your home they are aware that this may happen, and, because they must have somewhere to stay in between house sits, can be and are prepared to move out with 24 hours notice.

If you have any further questions about this service, we are only a phone call or email away. Please contact us, and we will be happy to answer your questions and concerns.

WE PROMISE TO LOOK AFTER YOUR HOME AS THOUGH IT’S OUR OWN
